The world is changing.

Jobs come and go.

Economies ebb and flow.

But the progression of technology has persisted since the dawn of mankind, and for the past 30 years, the internet has become increasingly more ubiquitous in today’s society.

On a revenue per employee basis, 7 out of the 10 highest earning companies in the world are either internet platforms, or businesses that play a major role in powering the internet economy.

You might be amused to know that OnlyFans sits comfortably at the top of this list.

The internet has undoubtedly shifted the business landscape over the past few decades, and without question, having an internet platform, or internet-adjacent business is the winning strategy in most cases.

This is further evidenced by the the explosion of online content we consume.

Consider your online activity today vs 10 or 20 years ago. Your online consumption has most certainly increased exponentially during this time.

But here-in lies the problem.

While the average American has ventured firmly into hyper-consumption of online content, still only a relatively small number of people have seized the opportunity to become PRODUCERS in the internet economy.

That is, there is extraordinary potential to sell one’s knowledge and expertise on the internet, yet most people are too busy consuming.

So if you find yourself scrolling, always checking the news, always sharing the latest viral clip… yet you don’t leverage your skills to produce any revenue-generating online assets, then wtf are you doing???

If you were willing to spend 4+ years and $100k+ attaining an advanced degree to make money in the old corporate system that keeps you locked in the rat race….. then why not invest a fraction of that time and money into learning how to generate income online?

This is the fatal flaw I believe many corporate professionals are making today… having so much faith in an old system that’s worked for the past 100 years that they have no sense of urgency to shift into the new economic system until it’s too late.

This might be the greatest economic fumble of our lifetimes for the millennial generation.

This is especially true as we’ve seen an acceleration of corporate consolidation and technology adoption that has left many high-skilled people unemployed, stuck in never-ending job searches, or working jobs they hate because they have no economic leverage.

If you feel stuck in the rat race, like you don’t have time to focus on your health, your family, or developing yourself, then learning how to build online income through micro-business and personal brand IS the most effective tactic available (the META) for most.

All you need is an idea, a device, and internet connection. You can create something outside of the traditional system that at the least protects your downside, and at the most gives you full autonomy over your life.
