The biggest challenge for virtually all solopreneurs is getting more leads.

Full stop.

Because let’s face it. Getting in front of people, then inspiring them to pay you for your services is challenging, to say the least.

This is why I can say with supreme confidence that, if you want to not hate your life, then your solopreneurship business absolutely cannot be contingent on abundant lead flow.

Having dozens of leads land in your LinkedIn DMs or your calendar every week is nice to have, but it is a disastrously inefficient way to run a profitable solo operation.

And as a former practicing mechanical engineer, nothing hurts me more than inefficient processes.

So if getting leads is the primary bottleneck in most businesses, it stands to reason that the best solopreneurship model is one that doesn’t depend on a constant inflow of dozens of leads in the first place.

I speak from experience.

For 3 years I experimented, and struggled, with multiple business models. I’ve tried selling $49 monthly subscriptions, $97 products, $497 programs, and $997 services.

But every single one of these business models had a major flaw. They all required massive reach that could only be attained through:

1) being famous

2) spending a fortune on ads

3) becoming a slave to the algorithm in the hopes of going viral

Even worse, it takes just about as much effort to sell these low ticket offers as it does to sell a premium productized service.

After experiencing this through my own grueling process of trial and error, I realized that the optimal business for solopreneurs is one that mostly circumvents the lead gen process.

So I went back into the lab and packaged my knowledge into something that would be valuable enough to others to command a price premium, thus dramatically reducing the need to find new leads.

Instead of selling a $100 offer to 1000 people, it’s infinitely more efficient to sell a $10k offer to just 10 people.

You can do the same.

If you’re over the age of 30, and you have some years of experience working as a corporate professional, then there’s literally no reason why you cannot package your knowledge and sell it to a market of willing buyers for $5k-$10k.

You’ve overcome enough challenges in life or at work that your experience is highly valuable to other people in this world.

2 new clients per month at a $10k rate is $240k in a year.

And if you design it properly, you can do those numbers working 20 hours a week.

And as someone who firmly believes that the world would be a better place if people had more time to focus on health, family, hobbies, etc… working part-time as an while being in the top 5% of income earners in the US is the winning formula.

So if you’ve been thinking about launching a solopreneurship offer, but you’re unsure how to structure it...

Or if you’ve been struggling to gain traction in your current business due to insufficient lead generation…

Redesign your offer. Turn it into a highly valuable productized service. Raise your prices.

Then work less and live more.

This is the way.
